IDENTIDADES (En el título dice IDENTIDADES)is a selection of fifteen medium-sized paintings and a large polyptych made using oil on canvas, which the gifted Cuban artist ROBERTO GONZÁLEZ will present atENLACE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO Gallery (Av. Pardo y Aliaga 676, San Isidro) on June 7, at 7.30 p.m. The general theme of Roberto González’s oeuvre is the human being: the lone man as individual, but also in his social dimension, transcending his individuality and becoming the social being that he is. “It may be said that each new set of paintings by Roberto González is tied to those that came before. Something unites them, while, at the same time, something else puts distance between them. At first glance, it is always that richly absurd contrast depicted in his canvases, with their gigantic and diminutive figures, ideas and fantasies that are in fact not all that fantastic,” says the art critic Axel Li of González’s work. The exhibition may be viewed from Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. No entry fee.
