Flora Castiglia

BIOGRAPHY

Flora Castiglia (b. Argentina, 1991) was introduced to various artistic practices from an early age by her mother, who is also a visual artist, in the family studio. This exchange and transmission of knowledge allowed the artist to strengthen her creativity and develop a work ethic, as well as a disciplined approach to her artistic practice. Flora’s first drawings were created for musicians who commissioned her to design their album covers. These early works have undoubtedly influenced her contemporary production, giving it a reading that could be described as “melodic.” Her creations are imbued with references to musical notes, both in their forms and compositions. The musical dimension present in her canvases, combined with a palette of deep and nuanced colors, makes the artist’s style immediately recognizable, inviting us to enter a geometric, organic, and dreamlike universe.
