(Milan, 1991) A graduate of London Metropolitan University, where he earned a BA in Furniture and Product Design (2016), having previously completed a Diploma in Furniture Making (2014), Pacella develops a practice centered on furniture as a space for formal, material, and conceptual experimentation and expression. His work approaches the domestic object from an expanded perspective, in which structure, ornament, and materiality become fundamental areas of inquiry. His research is particularly interested in vernacular forms and in the ways objects and ornament transmit, transform, and preserve knowledge over time. Pacella has presented his work in international exhibitions, including at Estampa and CanArt Fair in Madrid, Espacio Derivado in Seville, and The Aram Gallery in London. His pieces have also been featured in events such as Milan Design Week, London Design Festival, and Shanghai Art Fair. Pacella has received awards including the KPMG Award for Art and Design Innovation (2019), the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers Award (2017), and the Frederick Parker Chair Award (2017). In 2023, he participated in the Río y Meñaca artist residency in Madrid. In 2026, he undertook a research residency in Lima, Peru, with Galería Enlace, focusing on vernacular traditions and local material culture.
