In recent years, Antonio Espinosa's work has maintained a sustained focus on the landscape, although he has reconfigured the topics and forms of approaching this artistic genre. While his earlier pieces reflected the bucolic countryside landscape with a wide range of grays, paying homage to great masters of painting such as Andrew Wyeth and Tomás Sánchez in technical and compositional handling, his latest creations are distinguished by a different approach to the landscape. Additionally, Antonio Espinosa also addresses other topics through drawing, aimed at reflecting on contemporary dynamics such as consumerism and alienation. His pieces depict portraits of medications and candies, drawing attention to the overuse of images as manipulation by modern society.
